The surgery will be closed for PLT on Wednesday 9th October 12.30pm onwards. Surgery will open as usual at 8am on Thursday 10th October.

Self-Care information for Patients

NHS England has recommended that medicines for minor ailments such as colds, hay fever and mild dry skin should no longer be routinely prescribed. Please purchase these in future, with advice from a pharmacy if needed.  More info is available at www.nhs.uk/OTCmedicines

There are now more bookable GP appointments in Northampton, making it easier for you to get an appointment at a time that suits you including evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays.

The Northampton GP Extended Access Service is an extension of our usual GP practice, it is not a walk-in-service, you need to make an appointment through our Reception.

The service is located on the ground floor of Highfield Clinical Care Centre, Cliftonville Rd., Northampton NN1 5BD.

TabletDid you know you can now order repeat medication on-line with the practice.  You are now able to order your repeat medication on-line, direct to the practice over an encrypted, secure link.  There is still a need to allow a maximum of 48 hours before you collect the prescription from the surgery or you could save time by nominating a pharmacy to receive electronically. There is still a need to allow a week for ordering your prescription and for it to be ready to collect from your chosen pharmacy.  For more details please ask at Reception about this service and for registration.

Northampton Activity on Referral Scheme

 A Quick Guide for Patients

The Healthcare professional will securely email the completed referral form with your medical details on to Trilogy Leisure

  • Trilogy staff will make contact with you within 5 working days
  • You will be offered a consultation appointment within 7 days after Trilogy make contact.
    • You will be able to access a 12 week exercise programme. Your consultation meeting will take place at one of the following centres although you will have access to five leisure centres during the 12 weeks:
      • Lings Forum Leisure Centre, NN3 8JR
      • Danes Camp Leisure Centre, NN4 ORX
      • Mounts Baths Leisure Centre, NN1 3DN
    • Suitably qualified staff will prepare a bespoke programme of exercise for you after an initial discussion
    • Staff will be on hand to support you at any time and will meet on a prearranged dates after 6 weeks to monitor your progress and at 12 weeks/programme completion
  • On completion, you will be provided with advice on how to continue with regular physical activity

COST

    • Consultation Fee - £20.00 (fee includes consultation meetings with AoR exercise professional at 1,6 & 12 weeks)

    • Scheme Cost - £15.00 per month, direct debit for 3 months committed membership 
    • Please note this is a saving of £11 per month in comparison to one of our similar membership packages (£26 per month committed for 12 months) !
  • Scheme EntitlementUnlimited use of all FIVE Trilogy gyms(the three centres listed above plus Cripps Recreation Centre, NN1 5BD and Duston Sports Centre, NN5 6EX), FOUR swimming pools, over 200 fitness classes and three health suites.
