NGH NHS Trust opening times for Blood taking unit and Paediatrics


 



From Tuesday the 31st of March there are changes to the Blood Taking Unit at NGH. In order to keep patients safe at this time we are redirecting parts of this service to The Three Shires Hospital.


 


If you require a blood test you will need to contact the hospital to make an appointment on these numbers:

Three Shires will offer appointments Monday to Friday during the following times:


 


Monday -Friday 9am - 12:30pm and  13:30pm - 17:00pm


 


If you are a patient of our Maternity Unit they will make arrangements for you to have your bloods taken and you do not need to attend the Three Shires.


 


If your child requires a blood test the Blood Taking Unit t NGH will be open on Mondays from 10am-11am for paediatric patients only.

Using Internet Access

We now offer patients the use of a secure web site on the Internet to:

  • Request repeat prescriptions
  • Notify us about change of address, telephone number, or e-mail
  • Book Appointments

HOW DO I REGISTER FOR INTERNET ACCESS?
You must be a fully registered patient, and need a form from us containing personalised access codes . To get this letter you need to come to Reception and ask for Registration for INTERNET Access. The Receptionist will find you on our computer system and print out your access codes and registration instructions. Once you have the access codes and instructions you can connect to the web site at any time and register.

HOW DO I GET ONTO ONLINE ACCESS?
You can access the website from the appointments & prescriptions tabs to the top left of our site.  The first time you use the site you will be asked to create your account. Here you will need to enter the registration codes given to you by the practice.

REPEAT PRESCRIPTION REQUESTS
If one of our doctors has arranged a repeat prescription for you, and the review date has not expired, then you can use online Access to request a repeat. Please allow up to a maximum of 48 working hours for collection.

UPDATING YOUR RECORDS
Mobile: please ensure we have your up to date number.
E-mail: it is useful for us if you can provide a current e-mail address - as we are exploring the possibility of email consultation.
