NGH NHS Trust opening times for Blood taking unit and Paediatrics

From Tuesday the 31st of March there are changes to the Blood Taking Unit at NGH. In order to keep patients safe at this time we are redirecting parts of this service to The Three Shires Hospital.

If you require a blood test you will need to contact the hospital to make an appointment on these numbers:

01604 690027

01604 690035

Three Shires will offer appointments Monday to Friday during the following times:

Monday -Friday 9am - 12:30pm and  13:30pm - 17:00pm

If you are a patient of our Maternity Unit they will make arrangements for you to have your bloods taken and you do not need to attend the Three Shires.

If your child requires a blood test the Blood Taking Unit t NGH will be open on Mondays from 10am-11am for paediatric patients only.

Patient Registration

To register with the practice you must live within the practice area and bring in your medical card or fill in a registration form at Reception. You will need to bring some form of identification - preferably one item of photographic ID (such as passport, birth certificate or driving licence) and another showing your current addess (such as a utility bill or bank statement dated within the past 3 months).  Registration normally takes up to 48 working hours to complete.

When you register as a new patient it may take some months before we receive your medical record. This is because we have to request it from your previous practice via NHS England. We therefore ask you to complete a short questionnaire alongside the standard registration form.  This form needs to be completed fully otherwise this could delay your registration process.
